Similar to our midrange offering this versatile refined cap has one crucial difference: the front panel and brim are made from premium soft-touch foam with firm buckram. A brief history of trucker hats
Trucker hats have been around for a while now. Starting in the 1930s, truck drivers were often provided with a type of hat known as a mechanic’s cap. As part of their work uniform, it looked vaguely military and often bore the logo of their employer. In the 1950s, the greaser subculture adopted these caps as part of their distinctive style – which also included leather jackets, blue jeans and slicked-back hair.
However, over time, the mechanic’s cap gradually fell from favour. By the 1970s, this classic style had largely been replaced by a five-piece mesh design that looks very similar to those popular today. In the USA, these hats were often handed out as branded promotional items at truck stops. Unsurprisingly, truck drivers of the day adopted the free headwear.
So, whether you count the start of the “trucker hat” as the 1930s, with the uniform caps worn by truck drivers, or the 1970s, with headwear associated with truck stops, it’s fair to say these hats have represented a lot of things over the years. They have been used as fashion items, pieces of uniform kit, markers of cultural identity and, yes, straight-up advertising.
As textiles have improved and markets have broadened, trucker hats are now found all over the world in just about every colour you can imagine. In the search to have something that stands out, all manner of fabrics, features and decorations have been tried. This has now caused the classic “trucker hat” to diverge into distinct styles, such as flatbrims and snapbacks.

What is the turnaround time for bulk orders for trucker caps?
Great news on this as we have extended our production line and has bought down the turnaround time from 50 days to now 40 days production time. More complex styles with special materials may take upwards of 45 days. However, this timeframe can vary due to events outside our control.
Pre-production sampling normally will now be 12 days, photo images from every angle will be emailed to you for approval, if changes want to made, only small changes can be made any major changes can be added to your next order.
Express shipping (couriers) usually can take a further 5 to 10 days to deliver door to door depends where you are located in the world.
What is the minimum order for trucker caps?
Minimum bulk order is 100 pieces per design. However in some special circumstances we maybe able To make 50pcs with limited decoration and placement for you. Please work with your Aussie Trucker Hat Designer on this limited quantity. For special bulk orders, please contact our team directly on [email protected].
How do we send our company logo to you?
You can upload your company logo through our 3D Design tool directly and you can start designing right away. The design tool supports image files saved in the formats of PNG, EPS, JPG and JPEG.
Can you send out existing (maybe from other clients) samples?
Yes. While all our trucker hats are unique custom-made orders, our back-order archive might still have something similar to what you need to try for fit and see the quality. Yes we can send you a sample of an existing item please ask.
